The Celtic Traditionalist Gwyddonaid (CTG) is a tradition which stems from the hereditary family lore of Lady Gwen (Gwynne) Thompson (1928-1986) and subsequent research and writings of Edmund M. Buczynski (Lord Gwydion) (1947-1989), founder of the Brooklyn Heights Coven with Lady Vivienne. The Celtic Traditionalist Gwyddonaid is based upon two textual sources. The first source is the Book of Shadows and other teachings of the New York Welsh Traditionalist Gwyddonaid (NYWTG or "Welsh Tradition"), as founded by Lord Gwydion. The second source is the Book of Shadows and other teachings of the Welsh Rite Traditionalist Gwyddonaid (WRTG), as founded by Lord Gwion.
Our coven is about self-transformation through a relationship with nature following the cycles of the Moon and honoring the Goddess and God at the Sabbats. We celebrate our connection to the Gods and nature with teachings of the Celtic Traditional Gwyddonaid and lessons of nature lore. Most of all initiates become part of our coven family. Practicing in an environment of love and trust is very important to us. Our mythological pantheon is derived from Celtic and Welsh folklore.
Hearth of the Woode is a newly hived coven that is open to all sincere seekers.We do not discriminate based on race, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Welcome! Greetings in the bounty of the Earth Mother, the blessings of the Gods, and the Way of the Wise. We are the Paumanok Island Protogrove of ADF, based in Long Island, NY. ADF (Ar nDraiocht Fein: A Druid Fellowship) is an international fellowship devoted to creating a public tradition of Neopagan Druidism. We hold open, public rituals for the 8 High Days every year, as well as gathering for additional rituals, to host classes, to meet in fellowship, to participate in charity events, and to support our community. Rituals and other events are usually held in the Huntington, Long Island area (on the Nassau/Suffolk county border), but are sometimes further east. All people of good will are welcome! The Protogrove mainly follows the Norse tradition. However, any given ritual may draw from a different Indo-European culture (including Celtic, Roman, Greek, Vedic, Slavic, etc.). Hudsoncair is a traditional Gardnerian teaching Circle. We celebrate the Wheel of the Year and the Lunar Esbats, training seekers in preparation for joining a Gardnerian coven. We emphasize developing a foundational understanding of magical practice, the pursuit of personal spiritual development, and connection to the broader community.

We are inclusive, family friendly and have teachers available throughout Western New York. Must be over 18. We train the Black Forest Clan for people who wish to have their own covens one day. This path is for those committed to learning and community service; training takes 4-6 years to complete.
