Mystic Star Coven was originally founded in 2005 and practiced together until 2008, when we went on a hiatus due to personal reasons. In late 2014, MSC was re-formed to practice the Feycraft Tradition.

The Feycraft Tradition was formed of two other Traditions in the 1980's and taught to Mystic Star's High Priest in the 1990's. This is the Tradition that MSC practices today. We are not Gardnerian, Druidic, Feri, or Celtic Reconstructionist.

We do not discriminate in our Membership based upon race, social status, financial background, sexual orientation or preference, or gender identity. You should be 21 years of age, however, as alcohol is often involved in rituals and some social gatherings.

We do not hold to a male/female ratio in our Membership, nor do we believe that there must be a male and female Coven Leader for the Coven to function correctly.

We primarily emphasize the direct experience of the non-physical world over the fertility-based ideas of other Traditions and practices.

We use a Three Degree system of Initiation and Elevation. Dedicants are those who are enrolled in Dedicant classes and learning to practice Feycraft. The Rite of the First (or First Degree Initiation) is the most important rite of passage, as it brings the Covener into a deeper connection with the current of power behind Feycraft.

MSC gathers to celebrate the usual 8 Sabbats. Moon rituals (or Esbats) are held on an as-needed basis and reserved solely for spellcraft and magic. If you have other questions about Mystic Star or the Feycraft Tradition, please visit our website.
