ATHENS AREA PAGANS
TRADITION OR SPIRITUAL PATH: Eclectic and Ecumenical
CONTACT NAME: Embreis23
Athens Area Pagans, Inc. was organized in 2005 and has been meeting regularly since that summer. It was conceived as a social network for self-identified Pagans, and as a clearing-house for information for the Pagan community. In 2013, we became a fully tax-exempt 501(c)(3) religious organization.
We are not dogmatic or exclusionist: the founders could fairly be described as Wiccan-influenced Eclectics, but we have or have had Druids, Heathens, Feri, Cabalists and Thelemites among the regulars at different times. The working definition from the beginning was that anyone who felt excluded by the Big Religions and was comfortable with the word “Pagan” was invited.
Since our founding in 2005, we have had some sort of public meeting at 5 pm on Saturdays. As of Dec. 4, our regular meeting space is Rabbit Hole Studios at 1001 Winterville Rd., Athens. AAP is not usually a ritual group, but the River Temple of Athens, an Eclectic Pagan Circle, holds rituals regularly and has considerable overlap with the regular AAP crew. River Temple's rituals are announced on AAP's social media.

Merry meet! )0( Circle of the Spiral Moon is a WICCAN-based teaching coven. Our tradition is eclectic, and we are not lineaged. Syrai Ravenwynd, the High Priestess of CoSM has been Pagan all of her life. She dedicated in 1993 and was initiated into Wicca in 1994. If you are interested in receiving an application to join Circle of the Spiral Moon coven, please private message/send a friend request to the High Priestess/admin of the Facebook page. She will chat with you, and if you seem like someone we may want to join us, she will send you a longer questionnaire to complete to help us decide if we want to set up an interview to meet you. (We will need to ask for your email address so we can send you the formal application questionnaire.) PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE.
Please note that we may or may not be open for membership at any given time since we keep our member total small. If we are not currently open for membership, the HPS will let you know if she can put you on the waiting list. Feel free to ask questions that you may have.
The fee for each meetup is $4 per person. (Dues will be collected weekly in person at each meeting.) This fee is used to cover the cost of printing handouts and extra activities that we do. There is never a charge for instruction. Blessed Be!

CIRCLE OF THE GODDESSES GROVE
TRADITION OR SPIRITUAL PATH: Wicca
CONTACT NAME: Amber Lily
Circle of the Goddesses Grove (CGG) was conceived in the early 2000’s in a small town in North West Florida. If you know those small towns, you know they were not hospitable back then to “Others”. We were all looking for a place where we could share knowledge and ideas and our love for something other than four walls and a cross. Eventually, that little town would beat us down under threats though and CGG would go into a slumber for almost 20 years. The time has come to revive the Grove and call in the Goddess once again, taking root in a new location and making a safe haven for those who wish to learn and grow together with like-minded women to embrace our natural abilities.
Area - We will be meeting in and around the Stockbridge area
Age - Must be 18+ to join online and in the in-person groups Photo ID’s are required
Practice - We are open to your chosen deities and most practices are primarily Wiccan in nature **Local meetings have resumed!
Cost - We have a $20 monthly membership fee to cover associated costs, with full disclosure of expenses to members in the monthly meetings.
To get more info, please e-mail us and we will get back to you.
