The Church of Light and Shadow exists to forward the work of the Morning Star in the world under both his guises – the Christ and Lucifer. It is an independent and autonomous Apostolic and Sacramental body, in no way dependent upon the See of Rome, or upon any other See or authority outside its own administration. It synthesizes Christian Mysticism and Traditional Witchcraft. Offering the sacraments, sponsoring and facilitating group celebrations and functions on the Liturgical Holy Days, Sabbats and Esbats and other special occasions, in order to celebrate the seasons, learn and work magic, and recognize rites of passage.

WEBSITE: OHIO RECLAIMING WITCHCRAFT
Ohio Reclaiming Witchcraft is a community-in-progress, building Reclaiming-based community from the ground up. We are based in the Cleveland area, but there is currently no active Reclaiming Tradition community anywhere in Ohio, so we hope to serve as a common space for all Ohioans and nearby neighbors who are interested in Reclaiming Tradition. Then, as we learn and grow together, perhaps more local groups will form in other areas throughout the state, and we can all remain connected and visit each other's groups and help one another grow. Our closest active Reclaiming community is in Pennsylvania, and we also have connections to other Reclaiming communities and teachers worldwide.
We plan to offer classes, workshops, rituals and other events, in the future. Right now there are just very few of us in the same physical area so we do not currently have an ongoing schedule of offerings, but get in touch with us and you can be part of all that and keep informed! When we know who is nearby and interested, we'll start planning things for us.
You can read more about the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft at https://reclaiming.org/ and of particular interest will be the Principles of Unity, which describe how the tradition approaches community, and our overall values as a global tradition: https://reclaiming.org/principles-of-unity/
Reclaiming has been described in many ways -- non-hierarchical, communal, ecstatic, anarchist, eco-feminist, social justice oriented, activist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, queer-affirming, trans-inclusive, Witchcraft. If you've heard of Starhawk and the book "The Spiral Dance", then you've heard a little bit about Reclaiming, and it's only grown and evolved over the decades since! It is a living tradition. Feel free to contact us through our blog to learn more and chat with us about it, in addition to checking out the Reclaiming website linked above.
We are committed to intersectionality in our Witchcraft. As the Principles of Unity state: "We work for all forms of justice: environmental, social, political, racial, gender and economic. Our feminism includes a radical analysis of power, seeing all systems of oppression as interrelated, rooted in structures of domination and control. We welcome all genders, all gender histories, all races, all ages and sexual orientations and all those differences of life situation, background, and ability that increase our diversity."
